Howdy, Strong Fam-Uh-Lee!
Happy New Year from all of us on the Youth Fitness team! We can’t wait to see what 2026 has in store for us and our students. Let’s get started!
Expect Big Changes!
New year, new Strong! We have some big plans in store for the facility, and we can’t wait to show you what we have in store! We can’t reveal too much at this point, but there’s a good chance you’ll be seeing some hints soon! In the meantime, please pardon our dust as we begin our redesign process.
Movement Highlight

The Warped Wall

Our C-day focus for this block will be the warped wall! For this obstacle, we’ll be looking to improve our students’ explosiveness and form while going up the wall. Any of our students who are able to make it up one of our big 3 walls will get their name on the Warped Wall of Fame!
Parents, if you’d like to help your athletes improve their warped wall approaches at home, there’s a few exercises you can do at home—and, thankfully, they don’t involve running up your living room walls! These include:
  • Box jumps (anywhere from 12in-18in works best)
  • Single leg box drives (12in height works best)
  • Broad jumps (shoot to jump as far as you can each time)
Feel free to reach out to any of your youth coaches for additional advice on how to improve on the warped wall!
New Year’s Resolutions
The start of a new year is a perfect time to set new goals for yourself! In fact, we encourage all our students to set some fitness goals for the year. Here are a few tips we have for setting resolutions you can stick to:
  • Think big, start small. Make sure to start with manageable steps to reach bigger goals for the year!
  • Find friends who share similar goals. You can work together to hold each other accountable.
  • It’s all about discipline. There will be days where getting up to go to the gym seems impossible. Push through—even when you don’t want to! A bad workout is still better than no workout.
  • Find ways to celebrate your wins! Reward yourself for hitting benchmark goals and being consistent.
