Next Up in Strong Weightlifting
Strong Weightlifting is keeping busy! Next up is the 2021 Lock & Load Championships being held this weekend, May 8-9th in Van Alstyne, Texas. We have ten athletes competing at this local meet – 9 year old youth athlete D’Andre Adams, senior athletes (15-34 years old) Jhony Chang, Lucy Phan, Miranda Jenkins, Safa Zarei and Donavan Carrasquillo, and masters athletes (35+) Amanda Whiting, Lindsey Carroll, Roddy Chim and Doan Vinh.
Local meets are a great, low pressure introduction to competitions and fun next step after learning the basics of good weightlifting technique and movement. Good luck to our first time competitors D’Andre, Safa and Donavan!
